Who Should Take the OSHA 30-hour Construction Course?

OSHA 30-hour training course in construction standards (This course is offered by Safety Counselling monthly throughout the year) was developed to bring foremen, supervisors, superintendents, competent persons, safety staff, safety committee members and others who have responsibility for safety up-to-speed on OSHA’s basic health and safety standards that apply to construction workplaces. The OSHA 30-hour construction training course will also give students a general understanding of how OSHA operates. There are no pre-requisites to enroll in the OSHA 30-hour construction training course.
Our instructors teaching OSHA 30 Hour Construction Training Are OSHA Authorized Trainers
There are no required certifications to teach most OSHA training classes. However, you want to make sure that your onsite OSHA 30-hour general construction industry classes are taught by an instructor that is OSHA authorized to teach this specific OSHA class. The instructor is required to take and pass an OSHA trainer class series offered by one of the several OSHA Education centers located across the United States. Please ask to see their authorization card which certifies they have completed the following courses.
Authorized OSHA Construction trainers must take and pass the OSHA 510 course and then the OSHA 500 trainer course. Upon completion of these two courses, they are now qualified to teach OSHA 30-hour construction training classes. To stay certified as an OSHA 30-hour Outreach trainer for construction, they must take the OSHA 502 trainer renewal course every four years.
Please understand the Safety Counselling instructors teaching your company’s on-site 30-hour OSHA construction classes are OSHA Outreach trainers. We offer our class in-person at our training facility in Albuquerque or we will bring our Construction Class to your facility. The OSHA construction standards training class covers the Federal OSHA 1926 construction standards. We also cover the individual state OSHA standards that apply to the students where applicable. Our OSHA 30 training class is appropriate for demolition jobs, new construction and extensive remodeling.
OSHA 30 Hour Construction Training Class Details
OSEHAs 30-hour construction standards training course was designed by OSHA. The US Department of Labor Authorizes OSHA Outreach trainers like us to teach the 30hour construction training class to groups of students. The OSHA 30-hour training course for construction is taught in a classroom setting (typically 4 days in a row). Students are given numerous handouts during this training class.
OSHA 30 Hour Training Certificate
Upon successful completion of the OSHA 30-hour training course, the student is given the official US DOL / OSHA 30-hour construction training wallet card. They also receive an individual certificate of training after successfully completing the course. (Note: It is inaccurate to refer to the DOL / OSHA card as a “OSHA 30 certification”. OSHA does not “certify” anyone) The DOL/OSHA 30 cards from this class are accepted in all 50 states plus DC and US Territories.
